SPECIAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR FIRE FIGHTING:
In case of fire, wear a full face positive- pressure self contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS :
Keep people away from and upwind of spill / leak. Ensure adequate ventilation. An approved
respirator must be worn if the occupational exposure limit is likely to be exceeded. Wear chemical resistant apron chemical splash goggles, impervious gloves and Wellington boots.
A full slicker suit is recommended if gross exposure is possible.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS :
Do not allow to enter sewers or water courses. if spillage does enter sewers or water courses, immediately inform the appropriate water authorities
METHODS FOR CLEANING UP:
Contain and absorb with sand or vermiculite and mix well. Collect up and remove to a safe place until disposal. Wash site of spillage thoroughly with water and detergent. Assistance can obtained from waste disposal companies.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
HANDLING:
Prevent contact with skin, eyes and clothing. If clothing is contaminated remove clothing and thoroughly wash the affected area. Launder contaminated clothing before reuse. Do not take internally. Use with adequate ventilation
STORAGE CONDITIONS:
Keep container tightly closed in a cool well-ventilated place. Store separately from acids storage for more than one year is not recommended. Avoid use of aluminum, zinc, tin and their alloys and polyester elastomers.
